We have now published our 2016/17 work programme

Published: April 2016

The UKRN has existed for two years now and has delivered a number of key pieces of work on cross cutting policy issues. We intend to build upon this with a programme of work which seeks out opportunities for collaboration between members in a flexible and efficient way.

We have developed a challenging programme of work, driven by the priorities and issues that members are facing within their own organisations. Our programme recognises the varied nature of the sectors we regulate and not all policy projects will be relevant to everyone and this programme will allow members to participate at a level best suited to their needs.

We will deliver against three key areas:

  • We want to create further opportunities for our stakeholders to play an active role in UKRN through our ‘Engagement’ workstream. We will look to put together more events with opportunities for collaboration, such as the UKRN and Whitehall and Industry Group event we held in February 2016 as well as engage stakeholders more widely on the work of the UKRN.
  • We will continue to identify cross cutting policy projects with clear outputs within our ‘Policy’ workstream. This will include work in relation to the cost of capital, customer engagement and customers in vulnerable circumstances.
  • We are looking to find better, smarter ways to make best use of resources that are available through our ‘People and Resources’ workstream to support better and smarter ways of working across the network.
